Let’s Catch Up a Little Bit
Written by paul on August 25th, 2008 | 1 CommentIt has been a while since I last posted and the show is on a break until we can get some logistics issues fixed, so I thought I might try and get caught up with those who enjoy this blog/podcast. Continue reading...
Everybody Follow Me
Written by paul on August 12th, 2008 | 1 CommentThe dominance of Kyle Busch is beginning to get to me. I enjoy watching a Gibbs car winning a lot, but I believe it is not good for the sport. It creates boring racing which is not what the majority of fans enjoy. It is also creating the points racing monster that I truly can’t stand. Continue reading...
Four Hours of my Life that NASCAR Owes Me
Written by paul on July 27th, 2008 | 0 CommentsI am literally ready to call Texas Motor Speedway and ask them who I can send an invoice for the last four hours. If you suffered through that abomination that was the Brickyard 400, you have my sympathy. I have never, ever, never been more disappointed in a sporting event in my life. I have been witness to opposing teams routing my team and have been more pleased with the outcome. Continue reading...
Brickyard 400
Written by paul on July 27th, 2008 | 0 CommentsAs of this moment the Brickyard 400 is on lap 76 of 160. They are gong to have the forth competition caution as dictated by NASCAR at lap 81. As a fan I am extremely disappointed with the product that is being put out on the track. The brain trust of NASCAR that decided it was not necessary to allow teams to test at Indy is coming back to bite them in the butt. If they continue at this pace the race will be over sometime tomorrow. Continue reading...
Well, It Was Only a Matter of Time
Written by paul on July 24th, 2008 | 0 CommentsThe Nationwide series has decided that they have had enough of the Toyota dominance. As i have said many times before, once NASCAR decides that 1 team or manufacturer is showing signs of getting better than the rest they will amend their own rules and make it more competitive for the rest of the team/manufacturers. Here is a link to the article with the details. Continue reading...
We Are Not Fadeing
Written by paul on July 21st, 2008 | 0 CommentsThe crew of From the Hauler to the Track is in an extreme period of transition. The studio is being sold, Cougar Bait is no longer on the market and summer schedule for me and the family is in overdrive. As NASCAR takes this week off we do as well to try and get some of the issues handled. We are planning to be back next week (or sooner) if we can pull it together. Just hang on and we will bring you our quality NASCAR insights with the seasoned professional presentation that you have come to know and love. Continue reading...
TOP GEAR IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV
Written by paul on July 14th, 2008 | 2 CommentsThe love of cars is what has driven me to love racing. The love of TV has brought me to Top Gear. Two great tastes that go great together. Cars and TV! Continue reading...

The Worm is Turning
Written by paul on July 9th, 2008 | 0 CommentsThe inevitability of Tony Stewart’s move from Joe Gibbs driver to Team owner/driver took a major step forward today. With the release of Tony form the last year of his contract at JGR it is a matter of time and details that await us until we know exactly what is happening. CNC/Hass has gotten more coverage in the last 6 months than they ever had from driver performance. Tony is clearly moving to the center of the NASCAR worlds attention and I am still in shock. Not from surprise or disappointment but rather from the feelings that we are moving on but what is next. The reality that all my gear will soon be collectors items and that my Home Depot jacket will be sported in support of Joey Logano. I feel like a mutual break-up is the best thing for everybody involved but where to next? I am fully prepared to support Tony in this and am very ready to start winning. Continue reading...
NASCAR’s Harsh Reality
Written by paul on July 2nd, 2008 | 1 CommentAs I get the started this morning, I fired up FeedDemon and started filtering through the overnight news. Little did I know I would be shaken to the core about a NASCAR story involving Dario Franchitti. I have been pulling for him to have some success this year. I like trying to find a rookie and rooting for him do do something special. The fact that he is Ashley Judd’s husband didn’t hurt his cause. I was casually scrolling though when I saw this: Continue reading...
