Four Hours of my Life that NASCAR Owes Me
Written by Paul Barton on July 27th, 2008 | 0 CommentsI am literally ready to call Texas Motor Speedway and ask them who I can send an invoice for the last four hours. If you suffered through that abomination that was the Brickyard 400, you have my sympathy. I have never, ever, never been more disappointed in a sporting event in my life. I have been witness to opposing teams routing my team and have been more pleased with the outcome.
Competition cautions ever 12 laps. Please! The amount of wear that those tires took was incredible. Like I posted earlier somebody needs to answer for this. If you watch it, you could see the tire dust on every in car camera. It was like watching 10 lap sprints and then reload. It is very frustrating and disappointing. I am embarassed for them as they should all be taken to the woodshed and given 160 swats. That is the amount of laps of racing that should have been run. I would say that the only real laps of racing were the last 10 and that was not really all that good either. I will give credit to the 48 team for handleing the adversity and being the first one across the finish line and getting to kiss the bricks.
