Well, It Was Only a Matter of Time

The Nationwide series has decided that they have had enough of the Toyota dominance. As i have said many times before, once NASCAR decides that 1 team or manufacturer is showing signs of getting better than the rest they will amend their own rules and make it more competitive for the rest of the team/manufacturers. Here is a link to the article with the details.

This is the issue that I have. Why are they punishing team/manufacturers, that are working within the established rules, when they find an advantage? Are they coddling to the whiners? Is this the only sport that changes it’s rules mid-season? Oh wait, that’s right, the rule that the ball has to go over the fence is now amended so a warning track fly ball is a home run to help the less powerful teams be more competitive. NASCAR, please stop it! The whining is getting old. If you are losing, work harder, if you are winning, work harder to stay ahead within the rules. They are changing midstream and causing a huge amount of reengineering. I am a Gibbs fan who drives Toyota, but I hate when this happens to anybody. The nose changes a few years back most notably. I knew it would happen and i told you so. I am tooting my own horn here but one thing that is predictable in NASCAR, it is that the whiners win more often than the winners.
